Saru Maru Caves are a famous attraction featuring the archaeological site of an ancient monastic complex and Buddhist Caves. The site contains a number of stupas as well as natural caves for monks. In the Caves, many Buddhist graffitis have been found along with two inscriptions of Ashoka the Great in Brahmi script carved in stone 2200 years ago when he visited this site himself. Surrounded by a dense jungle and a diverse Wildlife enriched location, the place is home to various rare migratory birds, all of which combined makes it a true trekkers paradise.
