Indo Portuguese Museum was established by Late Dr. Joseph Kureethra, who was the Bishop of Kochi. He found the museum with a motive of protecting and showcasing the cultural heritage and Portuguese influence. Major attraction of the museum is a piece of the altar made in teak, which dates back to 16th century and belongs to the Church of Our Lady of Hope.
