GARBETT POINT TREK

It is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Maharashtra. The hill station was discovered by Hugh Poyntz Malet in 1850 and is located at about 2625 Feet above Sea level. The location of Matheran is cover with forest and amazing bio-diversity area. Garbett village and Garbett plateau is one of the less known destination among tourist who visit this Hill station. Matheran is a most splendid hill station in Maharashtra. The climate of Matheran is very cool. Garbett Plateau is located on the south-west side of Matheran. The Night trek to Garbett plateau is through Dhom Lake, few Water Streams and a steep Jungle Trail. The duration of the trek is around 3 hours. Thus, the endurance required is High.
