Interview Island Sanctuary is the largest island sanctuary in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is situated South-West of North Andaman and is separated by 20 KM of sea from Mayabunder, a township in North Andaman. There is no permanent human habitation on the Island, except a police outpost on the West Coast and a forest labour shed on the East Coast. Near the beach at the South of the Island, there is a perennial freshwater stream inside a cave. White bellied Swiftlets Collocalia esculenta have made their nests in the cavern around the pool.
