Architecture

Adasa Ganpati Temple is Hillock temple and Hemadpanti style of architecture. Need to climb 40-50 steps to reach this temple. Besides this temple, there are around 20 small temples within the premises which is spread around an area of 10 hectares of land including Durga Temple, Kalbhairava Temple, Two Temples of Hanuman in reclining and standing position.

Religious Significance

King Bali made a resolve to perform 100 yadnyas (sacrificial fire) and good deeds sufficient to give him the position of Indra (King of Deities). Through his immense devotion he accumulated tremendous amount of strength. To be able to destroy the fire sacrifices planned by him, Lord Vishnu reached Vaishnava Raja Bali in the form of Vaman, he worshiped Lord Ganesha in this place of Adasa village. Pleased with the penance, Lord Ganesha manifested from the tree of Shami and presented his blessings by appearing to Lord Vaman and therefore Ganapati was called by the name of Shami Ganesh here.
