Religious Significance

The history of the ancient Srivasudev Tirtha temple of the city has been five thousand years old. The Vasudeva temple has been witness to the unknown exile of the Pandavas. In the Mahabharata period, Lord Krishna stayed in the temple with the Pandavas. While going to Kurukshetra, he rested the night. After this, stayed here for two nights and one day. Lord Krishna prepared the Shivling with his hands and worshiped it. His hand-made Shivling is present in the temple complex today. After his arrival, the temple was named Srivasudev Tirtha. Kadam trees are evidence of the arrival of Lord Krishna.
