Architecture

Annapurna Temple was built in Indo-Aryan and Dravidian architectural styles. The outside walls of the temple are decorated with beautiful images of legendary characters and on the walls there is entire Mahabharata inscription. The temple is known for its intricate carvings and architectural brilliance which is established by the every stone in the temple. Inspired by the Meenakshi temple of Madurai, four life size elephants hold an ornately decorative gate in plaster. Inside the complex, apart from the main temple of Annapurna Devi are also temples of Shiva, Kal Bhairav and Hanuman.
