While the original name of the temple is ancient Kailash Dham. Intricately carved and 45 meter high Chopra Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. One has to climb 25 stairs to reach the Garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum). The temple is unique from the architectural point of view, its Garbhagriha (sanctum) is ashtakoneey (octagonal). Which is also seen as Shri Shiva Yantra. It also has eight doors in its eight walls. Attractive sculptures are engraved on each door, and an idol of Bhagwan Brahma sits at the entrance of the temple.
