  • These rules are applicable for foreigners also. Shorts, mini-skirts, middies, sleeveless tops, low-waist jeans and short-length T-shirts are not allowed.
  • Pilgrims/visitors will not be allowed inside the temple if dress code is not followed.

Architecture

Chunchunakatte KodandaRama Temple was constructed in Dravidian style of architecture. The uniqueness of this place is that the sound of the waterfalls can be heard all over except inside the inner sanctum of the temple. The specialty of this temple is that the goddess Sita is at the right side of Lord Sri Rama.

Religious Significance

Legend describes that Lord Rama during his tenure in the forests stayed in this place like tribal couple Chuncha and Chunchi. In this place Goddess Sita took holy bath at this place and till now the water colour in that area looks like mixed with turmeric and other holy powders used for pooja.

History

Temple was built 800 years old, by Mummadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar and renovated in 19th century.
