Architecture

Harni Mahadev Temple has an entrance arch and an beautiful pond is constructed infront of the temple. Inside the temple has Mandapams, walls are carved wonderfully and temple constructed in Rathasthani style of architecture.

Religious Significance

Lord Shiva is said to represent the trait of the Supreme being who symbolizes the formation, protection, ending and recreation of the universe. His vehicle is supposed to be the Bull or the Nandi. The bull is the epitome of both power and ignorance. It is said that Lord Shiva mounts on the bull's back, bestows power of wisdom upon His devotees and eradicates ignorance. The bull is also called Vrisha in Sanskrit. Vrisha stands for dharma or righteousness. Thus a bull shown next to Shiva implies that He stands by what is right.
