Architecture
Temple was constructed in North indian style of architecture with shikaras and domes. There are two ponds near the temple.
Religious Significance
According to historians there was once a dense forest here. A shepherd named Kudha used to graze cows there. The cow used to stand near the bush and spill its milk. The shepherd supervised it and the mother appeared to him in a dream in the night. Mother Kushmanda appeared after digging under the bush, Established at the same place. Mother Kushmanda is also named Kudaha Devi after the shepherd Kudha and Locals call by this name.
History
The temple was built in 10th century A.D. by Raja Ghatampur Darshan. According to historians, the present temple of Kushmanda Devi was built in 1890 by Chandideen Bhurji of the town. Since September 1988, the monolithic light of Maa Kushmanda is continuously lit in the temple.
