Architecture

The temple is built in the Chauhan style of architecture and is decorated with Pidhamundi design. The temple has a Udyotasimhas on each Raha and a Gajakranta Motif on the front Raha. The temple is built with Granite stones on the lower half and the upper half is in bricks.

History

It is an Ancient and Historical Temple, according to B.C.Majumdar the Rameswar temple was built by the Chauhans. But according to B.C.Rath the Somavamsis had built this monument.
