It is so popular that the entire vicinity is known locally by the name of “Hajar Haat Kali Tala”. It is a unique piece of art needless to say, the temple’s prime idol is Goddess Kali. One of the main reasons behind its uniqueness is that the deity has a thousand arms. That is why it is named in such a way because in Bengali, “Hajar Haat” means, "a thousand hands". Temple has a grabha gudi shrine.
Religious Significance
There is also a tale behind the formation of this mandir. It is said and believed that about a century ago when dacoits used to go on their invasion, they prayed at this Ma Kali temple for blessings.
History
This temple was built in 19th century A.D. by Ashitosh Mukherjee Tantra Sadhak.
