Architecture
Someshwara Temple is facing in East direction and constructed in Chalukya style of architecture. The temple has a small hall and a matapa out side, mantapa has two entries with decorated wall near steps. The roof of the temple is in slope style the walls, pillars are decorated with simple art and temple has a koneru named as Jappadbavi. It was initially a jain temple as the dumble is noted place for Jainism, later in 12th century converted in to shiva temple. The temple has three parts, sanctum or garbha graham, a small hall and a matapa out side. Mantapa has two entries with decorated wall near steps. The temple does not have the gopura which is unique compare to other ancient temple in the region.
History
This temple was built in 12th century A.D by Chalukyas.
