Architecture

This temple has a great sculptured Rajagopuram with 5-tier looks beautiful with well carved sculptural images which is nearly 70 feet height and temple is facing towards the north. Dhwaja Stambham is placed infront of the temple.

Religious Significance

It is believed that Sri Chennakesawara Swamy appeared in the dream of that Zamindar asking him to build a temple as well as told him that the diety of Chennakesava Swamy is located nearby. Sri Mekhan Dharma Appa Rao then dig out the diety's idol and installed it under Vykhanasa Agama Sampradayam after constructing the temple.

History

This temple is built in 10th century by Chalukya kings and temple was re-established by Nuziveedu Zamindar Meka Dharma Apparao 200 years ago [18 th Century].
