Architecture

Sri Kotilinga panchamukha Amritalingeswara swamy temple was constructed in five stories vimana. This temple alone has possessed five phases and four entrances. Devotees came here for holy darshan after taking bath in Krishna river flowing near the temple complex.

History

The Shivalayam was constructed by the king Balichakravarthi. Sri Panchamukha Amruthalingeswara Swamy was visited by Shri rama, Sitadevi and Lakshmana in Tretayuga and Pandavas in Dwaparayuga. Sri Chandrasekhara Saraswathi Swamy had visited this temple and make darshan of Sri panchamuka Amruthalingeswara swamy here in 1946.
