Architecture
There was a small Rama temple in the early days and in the dreams of an ardent devotee came lord Venkateswara and asked him to construct the temple further. Since the Lord ‘Appeared’ (Prasannam) in the devotees dream he was named Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal and faces in East direction. The temple has a 5 tier Rajagopuram and Grabha Griha has a Punyakoti Vimaanam. But we could find a 19th century (20th January 1896) inscription, which speaks about the construction of madapalli and temple has a Arthamandapam. Here Koneru is named as Thamarai Pushkarini.
Religious Significance
Prasanna Venkata Narasimha Perumal West Saidapet was constructed in the 15th century during the Vijayanagara Rule. The temple was built by a group called Desai who were in the service of the kings of Vijaya Nagaram.
