Architecture

Sri Swayambhu Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple has a three tier rajagopuram is the attraction of the temple, Dhwaja Stambham is placed infront of Grabha Gudi. This temple has a koneru.

Religious Significance

Lord Siva performed ‘Tapas’ (penance), heads down here at this place to have darsan of Lord Venkateswara. Pleased with his tapas the holy Lord had given him darsan which is why this place not only has Lord Siva as it’s Kshetra Palaka but also earned an additional name for itself the Gireesachalam. A visit to this Temple would give the devotee the complete benefits of visiting all the ‘Punya Kshetras” on the Earth”. Ashtadasa Puranas namely in the ‘Brahmanda Purana’ and the ‘Skanda Purana’. According to the Brahmanda Purana, If you visit this temple at least once in your lifetime there’s no need to visit any other Temple on this Earth again.

History

It is said that in olden days the people from the village are not able to make Tirupati Balaji Darshan trip because of the high expenses. So the Lord has incarnated himself here in this village as Lord Timmappa and easily accessible for the devotees. This temple was 400 years old built by Gadwal Maharaj Sri Chitrabhushan and Gadwal kings are the contributors for this temple.
