Architecture

The temple was built in North Indian Style of architecture. There is a narrow and small cave as well which has a opening just beside it. There are other temples of Shiva, Hanuman in temple premises.

Religious Significance

According to folklore, in ancient times this place used to come in the Dandakaranya region. It is believed that Lord Rama and Lakshmana came here during their exile to find Goddess Sita who was kidnapped by the demon king Ravana. To test her loyalty to her wife, Mata Parvati took the test of Lord Rama in the form of Mother Sita. But Lord Rama recognized her and addressed her as Mother. Mother Parvati felt guilty about this incident, she told Lord Shiva about it and asked for forgiveness, then Shiva asked Mother Parvati to sit in this place in the incarnation of Goddess Sita, since then this place is known as Goddess Siya Maiya. is famous. Here the footprints of Sita Mata are also marked. Another belief is that the tiger, the vehicle of the goddess, used to come at night to protect the mother. This place is also famous as the meditation ground of Maharishi Valmiki.
