Architecture

Origin of the Name - It is trusted that the place is named after an incredible sage named Vedvyas, who composed Mahabharata. The place contains numerous sanctuaries around committed to ious divine beings.

One of the most fascinating aspects of the Vedvyas Temple is the ancient Shiva Lingam which is basically worshipped by the Hindus. The Shiva Lingam is made of very precious and valuable Blackstone, which in today's date is very expensive. Temple was constructed in North indian style of architecture with shikaras and domes.

Religious Significance

As per the beliefs, there is a cave on the riverbank, referred to as Vyasa Cave, which is said to be the place where the sage Vedvyas wrote Mahabharata. However, due to the soil erosion, the cave is not accessible now. The stories also say that there was also an underground tunnel in between the cave and the river where sage Vedvyas used to pay homage to the god without getting in the notice of anyone.
