Fatrade, South Goa, Goa, India
Varca Beach is in South Goa, 12.9 kilometers from Margao. It is just 3.9 kilometers from the town of Benaulim approximately 9 minutes by road with average traffic. Varca Beach is between Zumbrai Beach in the North and Fatrade beach in the South. It is actually part of the same stretch of sand that runs all the way from Valsao Beach next to the city of Vasco Da Gama and ending at Mobor Beach next to the Sal River.
This is one of the biggest continuous shorelines in Goa, comparable only with the Candolim-Calangute-Baga stretch in North Goa. Varca is a 2 kilometer long white beach with red and black lava rocks in some places. You will find mostly shrub vegetation here, with a few palm trees. The seemingly endless strip of sand is dotted with luxury resorts, hotels and private villas, including some of the biggest names like Sterling, Club Mahindra and Ramada. The stretch is almost entirely hawker free, but there are some good beach shacks where you can stretch out on a sun bed to relax and enjoy your food and drinks.
