Akbarpur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India
The silent witness of martyrdom of Junked Ranbankunoes in the fire of the first freedom struggle, Akbarpur's historic Shukla pond under the leadership of the queen of Shahpur with Tatya Tope in Gadar in 1857, Ranbankunars opened a front against the British. Today the ruins of the ruined fortresses and historic sites are battling the crisis of their existence. During the Gadar, the revolutionaries of Akbarpur had crushed the British teeth.
The rulers and revolutionaries who had assembled on 16th and 17th of August 1857 under the leadership of the Tanti Tope and Shahpur queen had dispersed the Firangi army to the material and the truth. However after the Gadar, the British army led by Colonel Campwell destroyed the Queen's fort of Shahpur. Not only that, in 1858 havelock, in the Baradari, north of the historic Shukla Talab of Akbarpur in 1858, had executed the court in 1858, the seven trusted revolutionaries of the queen of Shahpur were hanged on Neem tree.
