Also known as Timber Trail, the Parwanoo ropeway is situated about 35 KM from Chandigarh city. It is spread over two hills and the cable car works at a height of around 5000 feet offering an indescribable view of the surrounding mountain ranges and of the Kaushalya River meandering its way between the two hills. Timber Trail Resort on the highway at Parwanoo and ride up on the Parwanoo Ropeway to the Timber Trail Heights Resort. Both resorts have a restaurant and bar for tired travellers. Over the years, this has become a very popular trip. The cable ride is free for the hotel residents. Kids love the exhilarating ride which is about 1.8 KM long and takes about 8 mins one way.
