Architecture
Origin of the Name - The temple is said to derived its name from Bamdeo Rishi, a Sage mentioned in hindu mythology as a contemporary of Lord Rama (about 6000 years ago). Bamdeo is said to have had his hermitage at the top of a Bambeshwar Mountain situated in Banda, then the temple known as Bambeshwar Temple.
