Architecture
Kale Hanuman Ji temple is amongst the oldest temples in Jaipur. Unlike other Hanuman temples where the idol is mainly red or orange in colour, the idol in this temple is black in colour and that is why it is fondly known as Kale Hanuman Ji Ka Mandir. Maharaja Jai Singh establishes a mint in Chandi ki taksal lane. Black stone goes beautifully with silver decoration. This temple in the centre of the silver coin mint area. This temple will give you a great peace, its atmosphere is very spiritual, nice religious chatting going on.This temple has another deities Rama, Sita and Lakshman. The pillars of the temple have been made as per Pushta Nakshtra.
Religious Significance
Hanuman ji, on completion of his education, asked his Guru Sun God to take Guru Dakshina. - Suryadev said, my son Shani Dev does not listen to me. If you bring him to me, I will consider him as Gurudakshina. - When Hanumanji went to take Shanidev, Shani got angry and cast a blind eye on Hanumanji, which made his color black. Even after this, Hanuman ji took Shani Dev and brought him to Suryadev. Impressed by Gurubhakti, Shanidev promised Lord Hanuman that the person who would worship Hanuman on Saturday would not have any effect on my curvature.
