God

The main deity of this temple is Lord Dauji Maharaj, who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu is facing in East direction with 3.5 feet wide and 8 feet height along with Goddess Revati Devi. Lord Dauji Maharaj is a Swayambhu with standing posture, huge eyes and is black in color. The right hand is in raised position and a cup full of a drink which is called Varuni is placed in the left hand. This is a two-meter idol which is considered the biggest in Braja Mandal.

Architecture

One day Kalyan Dev Ji decided to visit the religious places, They surf arounded the goverdhan. Then arived in mathura and after that they come in vidrum van (old name of baldeo place). Here rested for some days. One day divine solution Musldhari Lord Sri Balaram appeared before them and said that iam pleased with your penance, ask boon. Kalyan Dev Ji said i want that you always avail in my house. Baldev Ji approved and said that for this purpose my statue and Revathi Ji's statues are under the fig tree, saying this Dauji disappeared. Now, Devaji started digging in the ground, the place to order by Balram. Kalyan Dev Ji digged out both statue of Dauji and Mata Revati from the ground and where was Kalyan Dev penance was first established in the parnkuti. This place is now old temple of Dauji Maharj near by current Dauji Temple.

The temple is facing in East direction. On each of these three sides there lies a door which gives access to the calla, one surmounted by a squat pyramidal tower. It is a giant temple that is like of a fortification like a strong ramparts. Snake coil around the house like a circuit path is a full bloom market. There are four main doors of the temple, which respectively Singhpaur, Janani porch, Giriraj Ji gate are known. Adjoining the Baladev Temple is a brick built tank, over 80 yards square, called as Kshir Sagar, which is the "Sea of Milk," Kshir Kund.

Religious Significance

Western border of Magadhraj Jarasandha's state was determined here, so this area was safe from King Kans's Terror. Nanda Baba was placed to Baldev's mother Rohini in Vidraumvn for sake of the Baldev's birth. Today that Vidrumvan is called Baldeo or Dauji. Time passed slowly and fame and splendor of Baldeo continues to grow. After some time, the time had come of emperor Aurangzeb. Whose just resolution image of the entire hindu pantheon was breaking and disrupt the divine place. One day he heared about Baldeo Temple. He thought about break and disrupt the Baldeo Temple. He started from his palace with a large army. It is said that army continued to walk and wherever they ask about Baldeo than they got answered that Baldeo is two miles away, after some day Aurangzeb understood that Baldev deity is a miracle. But he seemed to pride over his army and continue to walk. It is said that a huge flock of bee attacked on his army and hundreds of soldiers and horses were killed on that place. Aurangzeb feel sorry and prayed to Dauji, that iam in your shelter. Dauji forgave him and Aurangzeb reached in Baldeo, He saw the Dauji. He donated five village to Dauji Temple. The whole estate and Sri Dauji Temple are in the right of Kalyan Descendant.

History

The temple was built in 1580 A.D. by Seth Shiam Das of Delhi.
