Religious Significance
Whereas, the legend goes back to the time when Goddess Vaishno went into a cave asking ‘Veer-Langur’ to not to allow anyone to enter the cave. However, Bhaironath tried to break the entrance, upon which, the Devi Vaishno took the form of Goddess Chandi and killed Bhaironath. Even after cutting his head from her sword, Bhaironath asked for mercy to Goddess Vaishno. However, due to his good nature, he was cleared off from the consequences of all his sins by the Goddess during his final moments. This Baba was very fond of liquor, which is why even today, many people offer the same to the deity here.
History
The temple foundation dates back to more than 1000 years and if we go by the mythological stories then the temple is supposed to be there since the Pandavas were building their capital, Indraprastha.
