Architecture

Rukmani Balaji Temple was constructed in South Indian style of architectural and there are 75 steps to reach temple. The main temple of Balajipuram is 111 feet high and is spread over 10 and a half acres of land. In addition to the main Rukmani Mahadev temple, more than 40 deities have been established in the temple. There is no fixed design or any map of this temple. This temple continued to be built for many years. In the meantime, many temple artisans were also replaced. But in the end it became a unique scenic spot. Many sages liked this place so much that they stayed here and did penance for several days. This temple, dedicated to Lord Balaji, gives this town a reference name, Balajipuram. The main building of the Shri Rukmani Balaji Temple conforms to the architecture used in south Indian temples. Reputed architects from south India were involved in the design work. Individual sections in the temple resemble smaller temples, enshrining idols of Lord Ganesh, Radha-Krishna, Goddess Durga and Lord Shiva.

History

The temple was built by Semji Varma. It is an ancient temple, details on the construction of the currently temple structure are not available.
