Architecture
Anganaadeeswarar Temple is an East facing temple with a large 5 tiered Rajagopuram. Anganadeeswarar Madavilam is several centuries old as is evident from the large number of inscriptions found in the base of the sanctum’s outer walls. Just before the sanctum is the Thirupugazh Mantapam. There is a Vaahana Mantapam in the south west corner. The entire temple is situated in a Single Prakaram.
Religious Significance
