Bhadrakali is the main deity of this temple, who is an incarnation of Goddess Parvathi. Here Goddess is facing in West direction and measures in 2.7 meters height and 2.7 meters width. The deity consists of eight hands, each carrying one weapon and is wearing an alluring crown.

Architecture
Bhadrakali Temple has a Dhwaja Sthambam and Balipeetham. This temple has constructed in Chalukyan Style of architecture and there is a Sanskrit inscription on one of the inner pillars (called as Antralaya stambam). Temple has a Maha Mandapam, the Ekanda Shila statue and the pillars in the temple present a glimpse of Chalukyan reign, while the intricate carvings on the pillars represent the brilliant craftsmanship of Kakatiya reign. This temple is constructed with Stone.
History
This temple is built in 625 A.D. by Chalukya King Pulekesi-II and renovated in 1950 by Sri Ganapathi Sasthri. Sri Mudumbai Ramanujacharya, Sri Maganlal Sameja, Vangala Guravaiah, Brahmasri Sri Hari Radhakrishnamurthy, Thandra Venkata Rama Narsaiah, Adluri Seetharama Shastry, Tankasala Narasimha Rao and Maha Tapaswini Mangalambika also contributed in the renovation of this temple.
