Architecture

Sri Seeta Ramachandra Swamy Temple is facing in West direction and has a 5 tier Rajagopuram. Dwaja Stambham was placed inside the Grabha Gudi and has a koneru. This temple has Adala Mandapam, 16 pillared Mandapam and the height of the mandapas is not more than six feet.

Religious Significance

According to legend’s during Tretayuga, While Lord Sri Rama along with Seeta devi and Lakshamana swamy in Aranyavasa time. Lord Sri Rama came to this place (Ellanthakunta) and took rest at this place. During Lord Rama in this place listened the News that his father (Sri Janaka Maharaja) was dead. By this news Lord Srirama become very sad and cried in this place. Later he performed Pitrutarpana (Father liberation). With the seed’s of Ellanthakunta tree. So this place is called as Ellanthakunta.
