As the temple is on the hill, a beautiful staircase is built to reach the temple. There are around 108 stairs that one needs to climb to have the glimpse of Shri Radha Rani. The temple is facing in East direction and built in Rajasthani style of architecture. Looking at this temple it seems that it is the grand palace of a king. There are beautiful colorful pictures on the walls and ceiling of this temple, depicting the loving pastimes of Sri Radha and Krishna. The temple is made of red and yellow stones. At the foot of the steps that lead to this temple is the palace of Vrishabhanu Maharaj where one can have darshan of Vrishabhanu, Kirtida, Shridama and Shri Radhika. There are four peaks of these hills-Bhangarh, Maangarh, Daangarh and Vilasgarh and each of these peaks is one of the heads of Lord Brahma.
Religious Significance
According to legends, Barsana is the place where Shri Radha Rani was born and brought up amongst her friends. Shri Krishna used to come to Barsana to meet her beloved Shri Radha.
