A single large prakaram houses all the shrines and deities.

Religious Significance

The ashes of a dead person being carried in a pot to Kasi by his son is believed to have been turned into flowers by the lord here at Nadeeswarar Thirukanchi, thus making this place holier than Kasi. Raahu and Kethu are said to have worshiped the lord here at Nadeeswarar Thirukanchi. Once a wealthiest temple went in devastation when the Nawab and French had battle near it. Battle of Abhishegapakkam and riots by Muslim ruler made the temple to get diminish in its form.
