The date of the inscription is based on the regnal year 11th after the succession of the king, which suggests that it belongs to around 1260 A.D. The main Temple consists of four mandapas i.e. Mahamandapa, Mukhamandapa, Antaraalayam and Garbhagruha. At the entrance of Antaraalayam we find the idols of two dwarapalakas Jaya and Vijaya.There was a big Tank constructed by Thondaman near to the temple which accumulates the water from Akasaganga of tirumala.Tondaman made arrangements to perform the Abhishekam to Lord with this water only.
