The main deity of this temple is Sri Kodandarama Swamy who is an incarination of Lord Sri Rama holding an Arrow in Right Hand.

Sita Devi & Lakshmana Swamy can be seen along with the main deity in the main shrine and also Chaturbhuja Lakshmi Ammavaru along with Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy and Andal Ammavaru can also be seen in the compound.

In every temple, Goddess Sita Devi is at Left side to Lord Srirama in Garbhalaya, but in this temple, Goddess Sita Devi is on the Right side of Lord in Garbhalaya.Because of Goddess Sitadevi's presence at the Right side to Lord Srirama in this temple, worshipping of the goddess in this temple will cause wealth and Moksha in one's life.

Architecture

The main Raja Gopuram is built with limestone and brick which is of 100 feet height and the dhwajasthambam measures a whooping 50 feet height. The Temple has a Koneru in which devotees take a holy dip. This Koneru is enclosed within the four walls around it. According to Vasthu Sasthra Pushkarini(Koneru) is located at Northen side of the temple but in this temple, Pushkarini is Southside to the temple.

History

Construction on the temple began in 1765 by Sri Dodla Rami Reddy, also known as 'Bangaru Rami Reddy', a member of the family which established Buchireddypalem circa 1715–16. Completed in the year 1784. Across the temple you can see the signature of artwork during the Chola period. And the temple acquired the present stature during the rein of Sri krishnadevaraya, He also included various raja mudrikas of the Vijaya Nagara dynasty.
