Brahmopasana Mandir was built by Pithapur Raja in 1926 under his guidance, imbibing features of temple, church and mosque. Venkata Ratnam began his services as Principal in Pithapur Raja’s College in Kakinada. He continued in that post till 1919. Generations of students were benefitted both by his teachings and by his reform activities. Venkata Ratnam encouraged Pithapur Raja, Rao Surya Rao to start the orphanage and Brahmopasana mandir.
