Then Sri Maha Vishnu promised that he will appear in a chandana box in Gowthami River. After many years people of Vadapalli found a chandana box in Holy Gowthami river. Then the villagers took a scared bath in river gowthami and brought the box out to shore. They found a beautiful chandana statue of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Saint Narada established the temple after pratista “yagna”. The temple rituals are performed by Vaikanasa Brahmins and srinivasa Acharyas.
